Registered Client Service Associate
Honolulu Financial Partners | East Oahu, Hawaii | On-site, full-time
Join a small, close-knit wealth management team where clients are known by name, the work is collaborative, and nobody is chasing a sales quota.
About Us:
Honolulu Financial Partners is an independent wealth management firm overseeing approximately $480 million for retirees and families in Hawaii and on the mainland, many of them planning retirement income or managing inherited assets. We are affiliated with LPL Financial and rank among its top-performing independent offices nationally.
We are a team of five: three licensed professionals and two client service staff. Our senior advisor brings 45 years of experience and holds the CFP® and AIF® designations. Our lead advisor holds an MBA, JD, and CFP®, with 13 years as a registered advisor.
How We Work:
- Team over territory. Our licensed team works as one book rather than competing on individual production, so everyone is pulling in the same direction: taking great care of clients.
- Personal service is the point. When clients call, they reach a real person who knows them. We would rather take the time to get something right than rush it.
- A relaxed, friendly office. Casual, collaborative, and dog-friendly. Appreciation and support are part of the everyday culture here.
The Role:
As a Client Service Associate, you will be the team’s licensed, outbound-facing support, keeping client work moving between our advisors, operations, and outside custodians. Much of your work centers on proactive client outreach, especially during our January–April planning season, when we contact clients about advisor-led initiatives such as Roth conversions. Our advisors lead all recommendations; you make sure clients feel informed, supported, and followed up with.
An active Series 65 or 66 registration is required because you will be speaking directly with clients about their accounts.
Responsibilties:
- Make outbound calls to clients during planning season to schedule reviews, gather information, and support advisor-led initiatives
- Prepare research and portfolio updates ahead of our advisors’ annual client reviews
- Join calls with clients and their 401(k), 457, and other plan custodians to walk them through the transfer process and keep it on track
- Partner with our Operations Manager to confirm asset transfers are completed accurately
- Follow up with clients on outstanding requests so nothing stalls
- Troubleshoot issues with vendors and LPL home office processing
Qualifications:
- Active Series 65 or Series 66 registration (required)
- Meticulous follow-through on details, documentation, and deadlines
- A warm, patient communicator
- A team-first approach: you are comfortable working within established processes and bringing client questions to the advisors rather than going it alone
- Experience with IRAs, rollovers, or retirement plan transfers is a plus
Salary & Benefits:
- Competitive salary & performance bonuses
- PTO & Paid Holidays
- 401(k) with employer contribution
- Hands-on training directly from our advisors
- A small team where your work is noticed and genuinely appreciated
