The Position:

We are seeking a highly motivated and creative physicist to join our team. This role involves spearheading the development of new magnet products, optimizing existing designs, and strategically positioning our company in new markets through innovative research and development.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead the conceptualization and design of new magnet products tailored to client specifications and market demands.
  • Evaluate current magnet products to determine viability, recommend redesigns for improvement, and identify gaps in our product offerings.
  • Review product plans to optimize costs while maintaining high quality and performance standards.
  • Identify opportunities in new markets and technologies to expand our product reach and enhance technological expertise.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, and sales to achieve company goals including production efficiency, high quality products, and cost reduction.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including test reports and white papers.
  • Support quality assurance by investigating performance deviations and proposing solutions.
  • Stay current with advances in magnetic materials, manufacturing techniques, and physics research in order to stay at the forefront of magnet technology advancements and drive innovation within the company.


Qualifications:

  • Master’s or PhD in Physics or a related field with a specialization in magnetism.
  • Proven experience in magnet technology development, preferably in a research or industry setting. Experience in product design and development is highly advantageous.
  • Strong analytical abilities to assess product performance, costs, and market trends.
  • Creative mindset with a track record of generating new ideas and translating them into successful products.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to identify challenges and develop innovative solutions to overcome them.


Salary & Benefits:

  • $100,000 to $150,000 base salary, based on experience, plus bonus potential
