The Organization:
The 3Streams Church Planting Network is part of the Anglican Church in North America, with a vision to plant gospel-centered, sacramental churches throughout the Denver metro area. This role will involve a church planting residency, with the goal of launching a new church in the Denver community.
The Position:
The call to plant a church is both exciting and weighty, especially in the season between receiving that call and launching. This role is for a church planter with a deep sense of calling to plant in Denver, who has a genuine warmth for the people of this community.
To lay the foundation for a strong, lasting church, the planter will begin with a residency designed to provide essential support, wisdom, prayer, strategic planning, and potential funding. This residency is not just a stepping stone—it is the first stage of planting a thriving church in Denver. The planter will move through this season with intentional support, positioning the new church for long-term health and impact in the community.
Responsibilities:
- Be on the ground in Denver, building relationships, listening, learning, and praying.
- Develop and articulate a clear vision, mission, and strategy for planting the church.
- Network with other believers in the area to foster connections.
- Recruit and develop a team of prayer partners.
- Work on raising financial support for first two years.
- Cultivate relationships with the unchurched in the target area
- Form and lead a launch team tailored to the chosen planting strategy.
- Oversee administrative responsibilities necessary for a successful church launch/sending.
- Participate in Network meetings and contribute to shared responsibilities within the organization.

Theological Clarity - A clarity on the Gospel, a thorough knowledge of the Bible, a clear understanding of the faith as the Anglican Church has received it.

Spiritual Vitality - A vibrant relationship with Jesus, strong devotional practices, a commitment to Word and Sacrament.

Developing a Calling to Plant a Church- A developing calling as opposed to a fall back that is pursued when there are no other options or under compulsion from a leader in their lives.

Healthy Marriage and Family - Strong spousal support, a mature marriage, children in a state of health that will allow them to flourish in this work. Also, under consideration is the financial health of the family.

Relationship Building - Church planting is a people work, we need planters who love people and can intentionally make new relationships.

Leadership Ability - The planter must have the ability to lead others, cast vision, create systems, and prayerfully make decisions with integrity and humility.

Missional Lifestyle – He has demonstrated an ability to seek the lost and gather a group that he subsequently has built up; understands and has lived out a life that engages the culture of their city.

Disciple Making Skills – He recognizes that church planting is all about making disciples and has shown the knowledge and ability to equip the saints for the work of ministry.

Entrepreneurial Aptitude – He is a self-starter, a high level of risk-tolerance, the ability to see what could be and the perseverance to see it through for the long haul.

Anglican Ethos – The planter desires to pursue the work of ministry as a faithful part of the Anglican family through Word and Sacrament, in the liturgical tradition. While we respect the broad Anglican ethos, the Network is committed to the Reformation Anglican tradition.
