They are a growing team seeking an operationally sharp, people-first Administrator to attract and develop talent while maintaining tight administrative and compliance functions.
The Position:
The HR and Compliance Administrator is a full-time, exempt, office-based role located at the company's Denver headquarters, with occasional local travel required. Reporting directly to the Controller, this role is responsible for building and maintaining a dynamic, productive, and supportive workplace. The Administrator acts as a critical bridge between leadership and the field/office teams, working alongside the company's PEO to facilitate recruiting, onboarding, performance management, and retention, while also overseeing regulatory compliance, audits, office operations, equipment, and payroll support.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract top candidates for field, administrative, and management roles, managing all aspects of the hiring process including postings, screening, interviews, and onboarding.
- Partner with leadership to develop accurate job descriptions, define roles, and establish competitive compensation packages.
- Manage the Mas Labor Program, including candidate selection, visa acquisition, documentation, postings, and travel coordination.
- Serve as the primary contact for employee communication and issues, conducting regular surveys and one-on-one meetings to proactively address concerns.
- Oversee the performance review process and calendar, providing tools and guidance via platforms like Trainual, and collaborate with team leads to set goals and deliver feedback.
- Oversee the career pathing program, and develop and implement training and professional development opportunities.
- Promote company values, champion a positive work culture through milestone acknowledgment, and plan/administer all company events and parties, including logistics and budget management.
- Handle sensitive employee relations matters, communicate with supervisors regarding issues, and manage the implementation of the company’s Benevolence Fund.
- Manage regulatory audits (DOT, DMV, and insurance), administer prevailing wage compliance, coordinate bond requests, manage insurance certificate requests, and coordinate annual insurance renewals.
- Own the Onboarding and Offboarding Checklist, delegating tasks and ensuring completion, while also overseeing equipment onboarding and offboarding.
- Maintain confidential employee records in ComputerEase and BBSI, serving as the primary point of contact for the BBSI interface.
- Coordinate with supervisors to document workplace incidents, disciplinary actions, workers' compensation claims, and property damage, and track key HR metrics like turnover and satisfaction.
- Serve as payroll backup in coordination with BBSI, and act as the primary internal liaison with the external bookkeeping company for HR-related financial matters.
- Manage incoming office calls, the company PO Box, and maintain a functional, well-supplied office environment within budget.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in human resources or a related people operations role.
- Experience in day-to-day office administration.
- Demonstrated ability to manage full-cycle recruiting and onboarding processes.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills, with a high degree of discretion for sensitive matters.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Experience with HRIS platforms and employee record management.
- Must be bilingual in English and Spanish, with the ability to communicate effectively with field employees in both languages.
- Experience in construction, trades, or a field-operations-heavy industry is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent HR certification is preferred.
- Experience managing H-2B, H-2A, or similar visa/labor programs is preferred.
- Familiarity with ComputerEase, Trainual, or similar platforms is preferred.
Salary + Benefits:

Compensation: $85,000–$95,000 DOE (Annual salary, commensurate with experience).
