The Position:

The Children’s ministry, “E: Kids,” is open to children from birth through 6th grade and provides Biblical instruction, care, and activities during the adult worship experience on Sunday. The Children’s Ministry Director helps to build meaningful relationships with children and parents that cultivate a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.


The Children’s Ministry Director primarily leads and orchestrates ministry to children and their

families and is secondarily in charge of the entire Children’s Ministry.


Responsibilities:

  • Seeks to fulfill the Element Church vision in the E: Kids Children’s Ministry. 
  • Leads and orchestrates ministry to children and their families.
  • Envisions, prepares, teaches, and leads Sunday morning activities and classes.
  • Plans and executes community and special events throughout the year for Element
  • families.
  • Recruits, trains, and develops volunteers, helping them find their ministry “sweet spot.”
  • Organizes and prepares all lessons/materials for class(es).
  • Schedules and communicates with E: Kids volunteers.
  • Oversees the safety of the E: Kids rooms.
  • Maintains his/her own spiritual life through spiritual disciplines, regular attendance at adult worship service, and staff accountability.
  • Presents the basic truths of the Christian faith in age-appropriate terms to children.
  • Maintains a consistent strategy for reaching first-time families and families who have disconnected from the church.
  • Show financial responsibility in operating the Children’s Ministry budget.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in pastoral ministry or equivalent, or 2-5 years of relevant work experience in Christian or general education, especially with children.
  • Relevant experience leading children and their families.
  • Qualifications For This Position
  • Experience in working with children and their families in both large and small settings.
  • Demonstrated good communication skills and strong interpersonal skills with parents and children.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead volunteer organizations.
  • Unconditional love for children.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, Social Media Platforms (Facebook and
  • Instagram) and Google Suite apps like Sheets, Docs, and Forms.
  • Relationally works well with others and in a team.
  • Experience in leading a volunteer organization.

Salary & Benefits:

  • 55k-60k 
  • Retirement
